The Shysters Theatre Company have gained a reputation for innovative productions and workshops. They are a group of actors with learning disabilities who work alongside professional actors and directors. The project will be carried out with Richard Hayhow, Artistic Director of the Open Theatre Company and The Shysters. He is the producer of many exciting productions at the Belgrade, including the Mystery Plays.
The aim of the project is to present aspects of Coventry through the eyes of the Shysters as an audio and sound picture. It is hoped that this will help other people with learning disabilities to enjoy this historic city. The aspects of Coventry that will be explored are the Mystery Plays and the Canal in the city.
